Strategies for teaching Writing skills

This is the writing process that we use to help students to devevolp their writing skills.  Also you can watch the video to have other ideas to teach how to write.  

There in the video you can watch some strategies to teach writing.

1. Students must understand the writing process from the very beginning.  

 a. Planning

 b. Sharing

 c. Evaluating

 d. Revising

 e. Editing.

Students have to use strategies to help them to remember how to write: for example the word POW: Pick ideas, Organize notes and Write and say more.  With this strategy students always are going to remember what do they have to do whenever they want to write.  

I as a teacher let the students to explore and experiment with writing.  -what do they want to write about.  Also, I give them flash cards with some words and encorage them to write at least a paragraph for each word.  I allow them to begin with a short sentence and encorage them to write a paragrah or a full textor just allow them to use their technological devices where I start with an opening sentence and I send it to one of the students and he7she has to write someting about the story and has to send it to other student until the story goes throug all the students and come back to the teacher with a complety story.  So, there are many strategies thet are used to motivate the students to write: 

Give them a picture and motivate them to write something about it.

Invent a poem or a short story.

Listen to a song and try to write it.

And it is important to motivate students to read, because it will help them to imprve the vocabulary and the grammar structure.
